I am enjoying waking up each morning with an immediate Scripture to grab my attention and align my focus. If you have not downloaded the 30 days of December resource, just click the link at the right for a free download. Not sure of anyone else’s experience but for me…it is working on my heart/mind/soul during a very busy December.
Today the theme is: He Carries Me
Can I just say, WOW! What a truth, what a thought, what an encouragement.
Carries in the Webster’s dictionary means: to hold move while holding and supporting.
“Listen to me…you whom I have upheld since you were conceived, and have carried since your birth. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you.” Isaiah 46: 3-4
Here are some truths to focus on today:
- I am upheld
- I’ve been carried since my birth
- God himself sustains me
- He made me and He WILL continue to carry me through life
Christmas is about celebrating the Christ child, the one promised to come for us. It’s a celebration of a Deliverer, a Counselor, the Prince of Peace. Today tell yourself an amazing truth…No matter how hard life hits, He is with you. No matter how alone you might “feel”, He carries you.
If you have felt alone, remember the truth today. When you haven’t understood your circumstances, remember there is a bigger picture. For surely, since the moment you let out your first cry and took that first breath, even then, God scooped you up and began a lifetime commitment to carry you through.
Keep looking up!
I’m retraining my focus,
