Lots of exciting things are happening as the mission for Design4Living expands. We started out with a simple mission—to help women live a better story by leading them to the heart of God and the truth of His word.
We do this by pouring into a sisterhood of women committed to living the life God has designed. We are committed to providing teaching, discipleship, life coaching, events, seminars, podcasting and resources for spiritual growth. All resources we suggest, promote or create have one goal in mind, to lead women closer to Christ.
As we began to minister to women we realize there are men beside them and sometimes a car load of kids...so we now are trying something new, our first Marriage Event. Our goal is to help couples connect again, find tools to navigate their relationship and to enjoy the marriage they are committed to.
We are kicking off the marriage launch with our speakers, Gary and Laura Taggart. Laura has a brand new book just releasing in July 2017, Making Love Last, Divorce Proofing Your Young Marriage, Revell Publishing. So as you can see, they have a heart for young marriages and seasoned marriages as well. High school sweethearts they have lived the adventure of marriage themselves for 41 years. They offer a wealth of information that will make the morning rich with meaning and application.
We will also feature a panel of married couples of all ages and stages of the marriage journey. Collectively we will be encouraged and supported by a gathering of people who desire to learn to live in love and do it well. Spouse not available that day? Well, you can come and learn. We are offering registration for couples, individuals and engaged or seriously dating couples.
We are excited about helping God's people live a better story by equipping them, encouraging them and providing a place for practical teaching and spiritual/relational growth.
In 2016 we launched the Design4Living, half-day events for women. These events were streamlined, giving women the opportunity for a morning out to concentrate on their spiritual walk by back to basics with solid biblical teaching and worship. We welcomed women from several churches in the East Bay and look forward to building an even greater community with believers from different churches throughout our area and beyond.
Our new format for the women's half-day soul care events will include speakers, panel discussion, reflective and responsive worship as well as a snack/coffee break to mingle, meet and network with other women. Our team represents women of all ages. As before, our goal is a morning out for women where they can be encouraged to remain faithful in their walk with Jesus in the real world.
